The Hingham Integrated Preschool is a district wide program.  We have preschoolers attend from all areas in Hingham.  The preschool goes by the regular school calendar with the same vacations.  It should be noted that the preschool starts the same day as Kindergarten and it also ends about 1 week prior to the rest of the school district.

Preschool Screenings: We offer screenings 2 times a school year for preschoolers.  Dates will be published here as well as in the Hingham Journal.  The first screening will be held in October. The purpose of this screening is to make sure that students do not have a disability requiring additional evaluations. Each screening takes approximately 30 minutes.  The teachers/therapists will screen for cognitive, speech and language, fine motor, and gross motor skills. If you suspect that your child may have a disability, please call Darcy Woodyatt at 781-741-1570 - prompt 4; then prompt 1, to schedule an appointment.

In February each year, children who are screened are children who have applied as community, tuition-paying peers for the preschool program, for the following school year.  Children must be 3 by September 1. The results will be sent home in the mail by the beginning of March.

A vision and/or hearing screening may be done by the school nurse at your request.
