COMMUNICATION: Important notices will come home from East School and the Integrated Preschool so please check your child's backpack daily. Children who have special needs may also have a communication book for teachers and parents to exchange information.
CONFERENCES AND MEETINGS: Team meetings and conferences will mostly take place on Wednesday afternoons, as necessary. The preschool staff will let you know about scheduled meetings and conferences. However, if at anytime during the school year you wish to meet with your child's teacher for a conference, please feel free to contact your child's classroom teacher. There will be designated Conference days in January. Children will not attend school on January 27 and 28, 2016 to accommodate conferences.
PARENT PARTICIPATION: Throughout the year, there are many opportunities for family interaction and involvement. The year begins with an orientation which will give an overview of the program, its basic goals, structure and philosophy. You're also invited to share in our Curriculum Night. These will be opportunities for you to ask questions and meet other preschool parents. There are many special events such as our annual Winter Show Case and Theme Days. During the year there will be opportunities for parents to visit the classroom to volunteer. This could involve sharing a book, a special hobby or interest or assisting at a play center.
OBSERVATIONS: Observations are permitted and can be scheduled through Mrs. Costanza or Mr. Keady.
